Just saw it on prime time tv, how good was it!
I challenge anyone to watch the ad and not start singing aloud, THAT'S ADVERTISING!

Great ad, brilliantly well put together, gets the point accros well. But am i the only one who cringed seeing an old, over weight, over used singer who doesn'nt know when to retire?

I think it's a great add. I didn't cringe. Maybe if they had someone like One Direction, I would have, but Farnham is well respected - no matter how old he is.

Sorry, did not mean to offend. Like i said: brilliant add. But, as you can see by the couple featured in the ad, i thought a more target-specific icon could have been used.

I love Farnsy and that song, my favourite of his.

I was totally put off by it. Struggled to watch the whole thing and found it to be a mismatch, if anything. Not trying to play the pessimist here guys, just how I genuinely felt about it. On the bright side: At least they're trying different things...

I saw the ad for the first time about 90 mins ago, and I'm still singing "You're the voice......blah, blah, blah" Talk about effective and infective! Hope it sells a few more cars for Ford (says he currently looking at Hyundai Santa Fe CRDs....)

So it would be better if instead of contributing to the economy, he stop working and live off the government, just go away and die in isolation? There's no economic reasoning for him to retire, there's no psychological reasoning for it, so why?

Younger people love to call for more successful person X to retire. It's a natural Human desire for the kind of person that wants a share of the success. You see it with athletes all the time, even when the older one is still number one

May have something to do with the fact he has already retired 17,000 times .

Awesome. I thought I was the only one that didn't like it.

But if it sells cars, that would be a step in the right direction for Ford. Mind you, I wouldn't be putting my money in Microsoft technology.

I love it! Simple, effective and gets the message across brilliantly!

And just enough humour to make us smile (well most of us!) too.

Not good enough.

Doesn't a Ford as the product.

Absolutely inadequate.

the Microsoft logo was the thing I noticed most...

I thought it was a great ad. Caught mine and my partner's attention. We started singing along for our little girl Sje liked it too then. It is an iconic song and perfectly suited to the the technology giving it is all about voice activation.

I am so glad Ford did not call it iSYNC. It looks like a fresh product and the use of the Microsoft brand in the ad made it look very new age and a product more than just a gimmick.

didnt do a thing for me......John Farnham was simply creepy and out of date.....

I'm afraid it missed the mark by miles and it was hard to even work out what the ad was about

our own "mr advertising" within these very walls should be put forward as an example as to how it should be "done"

CANT GET ENOUGH OF THIS!!!!.......but I quickly got more than enough of THAT!
