Reading today's paper cars guide, there is an article about Australia's future cars (2015 onwards). In the Ford section the writer says "Edge, Also not the Territory replacement. Unveiled in the US earlier this year, the Edge is a five-seater SUV designed to appeal to young families. A rival to the Toyota RAV4 and the Mazda CX5(My bold).
Well WTF is the Kuga than??? The new Kuga has been on sale for over 12 months and every review has compared it to the CX5 and the RAV4. Plus details released so far on the Edge show it is bigger than the Kuga, CX5 and RAV4 and is far closer in size to the Territory. |

I'd say the Exploder would be the proper "replacement" for the Territory size wise.

I laughed at that story too, typical Josh Dowling. How does he still have a job, he is an absolute hack.
He claims the new Focus RS will be less than 50k, when the previous one was 65k. He claims the Explorer will be coming here, when we all know it's not going to be built in RHD. Then he says that the next Mondeo will almost be as big as the Falcon. Hello tard, the current version, and the new one coming next year already are about as big as Falcon. |

It depends what you class Territory under. Its sort of between medium and large. You could almost put it up against the Prado.

The local paper last Saturday stated the new Falcon will have the following engine options: I4T, NA6, I6T or NA8.

I would put it up against the Prado for sure. Land Cruiser is large, while both Prado and Territory are large .... ish. Even though 1 is a real 4x4 and the other is a people mover.

I assume that the Everest will be FoA's 4wd contender, and the Territory will be edge-based.

Dowling is a tool. It shows how lacking editors are in car knowledge to let this misinformed moron's stories go to press.
