Best Place for Hydraulic Hose and Fittings?

The main hose on my scissor lift has developed a pattern of what look like micro-cracks on its outer layer so I am planning getting a replacement made (quicker[albeit perhaps more expensive] than importing and original replacement from the US per https://jmcautomotiveequipment.com/e...ete-coupler-8/ ). Is Enzed still the best place to go or are there better alternatives in Perth? I assume it is what Enzed call jacking hose.

I purchased the lift in 2012 and this is what the hose looks like now. It was OK 6 months ago when I last used and checked it. I guess not an immediate safety issue as it has a mechanical safety lock and hydraulic rams that lock if there is a sudden loss of hydraulic fluid. Nonetheless time to replace it and the two smaller hoses (although they, as yet,have no micro-cracks) I think.

Agree that the more corpulent hose is in need of service, is it a leak-off or low pressure return?

The hose with micro-cracks goes from the control unit to the lift. It one of these lifts https://jmcautomotiveequipment.com/c...-scissor-lift/ albeit a earlier version which is a Bendpak MD-6XP (https://www.bendpak.com.au/car-hoist...scissor-lifts/) clone.

And no, no; no Citroen and even my first car a 1972 "Big wheel" Mini Moke has rubber cone, rather than leaky hydralastic, suspension. Were you suggesting my legs were corpulent hoses? If so, true but no microcracks, just normal decrepitness.

Just noticed you are in Bibra Lake, any hose joint will be able to make it up. (pirtek, Ryco, Enzed) I have used Ryco in Wangara. Pretty good selection of hoses and fittings for everything ive needed. Where ever you end up going take the old hose to them and they should be able to make it for you.

The outer cover is nothing. It's when the wire braid underneath starts coming apart............

I have them all over my Bobcat. Rubber on most of the hoses gone but no damage to wire. Been like that for years...........

Working in a scissor lift with a suspect hose vs working in a Bobcat has a slightly different perspective. :-)

Bob, I used to go to Enzed until their prices went stupid. Now go to Pirtek. No sure it it was the local franchise who jacked up the prices or the whole of company idea.
