just wondering where exactly i can get a signal coming from my speedo. i was just having a look in the manual for my VDO Dayton CD player, and it says i have something called Speed Dependant Volume Control, and that i need to get a signal from my speedometer. only i dont know where that is.
any help would be great, thanks |

VSS pin3 white wire from the ECU. should do the trick

The signal is from the VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor, yes it should be fine to tap into, the speedo being out wont matter, the whole idea behind the wire you are connecting is that as you increase speed and hence general road and wind noise increase the stereo will gain volume at either a set or pre-determined rate to compensate.

oh right, so basically the faster i go, the louder my cd player will get. thanks heaps for that one. i'll have a look maybe tonight after work or on the weekend.
