Default XR8 style EA headlights

Anybody know where I could get some cheap XR8 type EA/EB/ED headlights?
You know the ones with the blackened sides. Looks pretty cool!
I seen 1 for sale on ebay but they are charging $195 for them!! Not even worth it.

Anywhere else you guys might know of that would have them?

Cheers!

if you mean the ones that look like stock headlights but with black surrounds in them instead of chrome you can do this yourself. Xrated has done that to his ED. They are nothing like XR headlights, but I know that what they call them on EBAY

Cool I never realised this.
Anybody have pics of Xrated's ED head lights?

I'm interested in doing this myself but I'm still confused on what I would have to do to make it look the part.

i'd do it but only if you can do it to the clear indicators as well?????? I think they are all reflector tho? Otherwise you'd have a tinted headlight and a bright *** indicator.

Its simliar to the mod on aufalcon.com but just with ea lights. I considered doing it to my old car just gotta pull the light out take the clips off and paint the silver relfector bit that doesn't actually reflect any light. So preety much pull the light out and paint what doesn't reflect light.

I've bought a pair off him for about 120 I think it was. Fit was perfect.

They are quite good quality actually, nothing dodgy about them. But it comes down to if you want them on your car or not, I think it looks better than that fake spotted tint you can get on the outside of your lights.

Well I agree, 195 is a bit steep for headlights and blinkers, considering we don't want orange ones. But for my 120 dollars, I bought convenience & quality.

It took all but 20 mintues to install and I didn't have to give up my weekend painting it and I also have a spare set of headlamps. It's easy to say, do it yourself, but you also have to know what your doing. Now I can't speak for everyone, but I've got no idea how to do that. Everyone is good at something, DIY is not my forte.

EDIT: Not the best picture in the world, but it will have to do for now.

Im sure someone here could write up a tutorial on how to paint them. I would but no longer have an EA. Im in a simliar position I could easly paint the EA lights but im not game to to the lights on my AU as that requires and oven.

Best way to do it grab some aftermarket lights (around $60 new) and they come tinted around the ring. Then just pop it open and paint the extra bit wouldn't take a hole weekend more like 1hr.

Oh looks like someone had a run in with some wild life ;)

That sort of damage puts me off buying a fiberglass kit couldn't imagine what that sort of impact would do to a big fiberglass front bar.

The lights look better then I thought painted but the ebay person shouldn't advertise them as XR8 lights, the real xr lights for ea-d kick ***.
