You can change the whole diff but you will have to change the handbrake setup.
the gears can be swapped but it is best to have it donr by a pro to set it up right.

yep your on the ball dellboy, well i know stuff all about LSD, but the track i hit up has alot of corners, so what would you recommend lsd or not, and no i don't like or want to drift, i go for times.
how much would it cost (guesstimate) to have done what you stated LTDHO?

cheers for your input guys

I think around 500-700 to have a 28 spline diff (i think you already have) changed to 3.45 including gears, LSD will just stop one wheel spinning by default, and probably highly recomended

the ratio of your current diff Vs an ef/el will be about the same. What you wanna do is get an ED XR diff like Dellboy has said or get some skyline gears and an lsd center put into your current diff. XR diffs go for about 600ish, to rebuild it with new LSD and skyline gears will be about 900.

When you people say 28spline, are you saying that the axle splines on EB/EF are different??? So if i got gears from a EF sedan and put them in an EB wagon, id have to take the axles from the EF aswell? Do they all fit in?

So even with my EBII gli like 2.7 diff non ABS...i can fit the EF or EL XR 3.45 gears in there no hastles or ?
