Default EF Ignition Barrel

ok mine is bloody stuffed, i can start the car etc but you have to jiggle it around like all bugery! ive got a replacement barrel with a new set of keys. the cars an ef2 any one have any ideas how id get to the ignition barrel ? like how do i remove the housings.... cheers guys

It's not hard to remove the plastic surrounds, you just have to be aware that to get off the 2 shear bolts holding it on, you need to use a chisel and hammer because no screwdriver will fit. You'll need new shear bolts for the new barrel - they weren't costly from Ford when I bought some for my EL barrel.

Ya dont need to remove the lock assy to take out a Barrel? There should be a hole in the lock so you can put a pin through to depress the pin on the Barrel to release it. Turn the Barrel to Accessories and push in the pin and voila
