Default sports dash into a falcon gli ebII

hey ppl im trying to get a sports dash for my eb2 falcon it has smartlock and its auto im bidding on ebay at the moment the guy reckons theres a power light on it but he said hell get back to me on the smartlock light what i wanna no is will the dash still fit if it doesnt have a smartlock light cheers

contemplating doing this myself in the not-too-distant future, is there a tutorial around that covers the procedure? it's *probably* pretty straight forward, but it always helps to have something to reference

If by 'sports dash' you mean the Fairmont instrument cluster (oil pressure, tacho, etc) then it is as simple as pulling the old one out and putting the new one in, although you'll also need the oil pressure sender and the coolant reservoir with the coolant level sensor if you want it to all work properly.
