Default Friday 14th Oct, Cruise Discussion

well i just got back home from the cruise decided to bail out after stud park cause i have work at 6am,

cruise was good although i ended up losing every one every time i stopped for a red, lucky i my sat nav didn't play up on me:P
i also had problems parking at southland as one spot i didnt aim at it right and the other was too narrow:P but eventually found one that the wagon could fit into:P

but anyway i recon my highlight was at studpark when the cops that were waiting for us went after a 626 instead:P

i wonna see pics my camera stuffed up and made all the pics to dark, even with the flash so mine are worthless

was a good cruise, my EB developed a major vibration through out the night to the point that if I had of driven a few more km's I would have lost my tailshaft. Pulled over, and with a lighter crawled under the back of the car (kinda glad it wasn't lowered) and checked my tailshaft, all four bolts right on the end of the threads. So out came the breaker bar and spanner, got covered in dirt and greese, I can't believe I didn't check that before I left chadstone. It's not much fun crawling under a car in pitch black at 12:30 am, Geez am I glad i put tools in the car though.

Thanks to John for the sticker and Sunny and Adam for organising stuff. Sorry about my exit. :P I allready posted this in the meet thread.

Bring on Heathcote!

another big turnout, i think it peaked at over 60 cars at Southland

the cops were all over us tonight, hell they were even at the eastern pre-meet.

anyway all in all i though it was a good cruise, even though the last 3 points were cut a bit short

and yeh bring on heathcote :sm_headba

That was a big turnout! It was a shame that the last few meets were cut short, at least we know area's to steer clear of. The cops at southland were pretty good, as were the security gaurds at chandstone (until someone who will remain nameless stuffed it up :P). I don't think it's a good idea to have anymore meet points around the knox area tho, the cops their were real pricks, and that is pretty much the only spot that nobody acted up lol. Ah well, was a great meet anyways and thanx to all the organizers. Great ocean road should be a blast!!!

Fatastic cruise. Awesome, some of which you never see on the road at all. Had to end the night after Southland coz of work commitments.

It looks like now we have a few Laser TX3 members part of the E-Series club. What the?

Was, a great night. I left at southland as well. Bit worried about continuing the rest of the cruise with my car they way is was. Lost heaps of power, but limped it home. Turns out the cat was blocked. All fixed now. Should of just kicked it in and kept going. Ahh well, thoughrly enjoyed my half of the night. Cant wait for GOR. Good work Sunny and Adam.

Default Reminder

Standards of behavior at Cruises and meets.

It seems that we need to remind some people what constitutes acceptable behavior for meets and cruises associated with this forum.

Let me make it simple:

1. Burnouts, tyre frying or any other term you care to use for deliberate loss of traction is unacceptable in any public place. The burnout pad at Heathcote is for that purpose.

2. Exceeding the speed limit on public roads is also unacceptable as is drag racing. Refer the above comment re Heathcote.

I know the poor behavior exhibited last night was only by a few but everyone needs to remember that a cruise or other meet associated with this forum makes you ambassadors of both this site and your club.

Be WARNED - anyone identified with unacceptable conduct last night (or at future events) will have their access to this site removed.

Good point, Russ. I enjoyed the cruise a lot but there was some stupid driving (there is another thread on the driving standards, by the way). I met heaps of people and saw heaps of nice cars, so it was great fun. I took a heap of photos but my camera battery is on the charger at the moment. John, I'll send you the photos later on. Got breath tested on the way back (mentioned this in another part of the forums) but I hadn't been drinking so I was fine. Overall, great cruise, enjoyed it more than the last one.

well....while on the road it is pretty hard to stop...and i guess its a little bit of fun with great cars ;).......but when your at the meet points it's just time to relax and chat a bit....not draw attention by doing burnouts or DRIFTING

These cruizes are getting bigger everytime.
Meet points were perfecto to. Great spots!

Never seen so many cops out on one night. I even got breathe tested on the way home LOL. Top shtuff!

PS next time can we maybe get a little map picture of the cruise route to?
Some people have no clue and end up gettin others lost :P

Who would follow you? LOL! I'm sure you enjoyed being blinded by my headlights most of the time. They may be a tad high! I'll get around to adjusting them sometime in the future. Maybe that's why I occassionally get flashed!

yeah really good cruise i didnt have a map and when we left pier 35 i ended up with bout 20 cars following me and had no idea where i was going still dont no if i took the right route. definatly be ther eon the next 1 aswell. it was a ****a down heatheton cause nearly every car u passed was an e-series..
