Default Toyota's new large car volume seller

Otherwise known as the next generation Camry..... :

Its the US version, but probably little different to our own.

Images from webwombat.

Suprised it is yet to be posted, regardless the fact its a camry.

Looks like the bastard child of a Mazda 6, Toyota Yaris, and maybe a hint of Mitsubishi 380 in there somewhere.

It'll sell millions.

Unlike the US model, though, I believe the AUSDM version is going to have the 4 cylinder engine only, to compete with cars like the Hyundai Sonata.

There'll also be a bigger 6cyl car, but it won't be called Avalon.

Then new Avalon looks like a massive Mazda 3 hatch on steroids, and look at the height of the outers sides! Given Toyotas famed handling, or lack there of, anyone else reckon this will be the bodyroll king?

Like said above, it has Mazda styling cues, also has a bit of Hyundai Sonata(which gets the look from the Lexus IS250 or somthing like that).

I can see what direction there trying to take (the Mazda 6, Honda Accord Euro, Liberty) and it looks a bit better than the current one. One question tho, can it arab drift like the old one? lol

This is true, Toyota are dropping the V6!

Front looks ok but as with every Toyota the wheels are too small. Cost cutting at its best.

I'd expect it to look fairly similar, given that the new toyota yaris(?) is the toyota echo without the name change now.

Now, one thing I really can't stomach is the cars these days. I'm 23, so I'm not exactly out of the loop, but they are all so bloody ugly! It started with dome roofs (which even the AU and BA follow...), then these terrible brake lights and headlights. It seems every car, even the large sedans, are designed as being small cars - then expanded where needed.

Take a look at the new commodore (wheels version). Its a small-medium sedan thats been expanded. It looks silly.

Definately lost their 'attitude' or 'fire', something like that anyway.

I see an Accord V6 with a Mazda 3 front. Interesting.

Seriously.... It's a Camry... WHO GIVES A F@RK!!!!!!!

The new Hyndai Sonata or VW Golf Diesel has more impact on me than this washing-machine-posing as-a-car does!

F@rk Toyota is my HO....

Hmm, I see Toyoto are going for the "slab sided pig ugly" look again.

Makes my AU look like a work of art, got to love that!

That would be the "pedestrian friendly" bonnet with 100mm+ of fresh air under it that makes the car so bulky... Also as referred to earlier it looks very "tall" in the cabin area together with the big boot. It's a shame that so many cars are going this way, you feel like you are driving a bar stool.
