Default Navman vs garmin ..which is better?

I am thinking about a navigation system.Whic is better and do they work?

I havent used the Garmin one... but the Navman portable one (not exactly sure of the model, but its about $800 or $900) that just sticks to your car window is excellent!!!!
the only bad part is that you dont get any upgraded maps included in your initial purchase. You have to pay for them as often as you want to upgrade.

I know the tomtom one is good..my brother has it...

dont ask which one, I just know he can move it from car to car..... (which most probably are like that I guess)

I got a portable Garmin PDA type about 18 months ago. It came with maps included in the price.
I would not be without it now and yes they work well (unless you make a typo when you input the destination LoL).

I have the Navman PDA. Its a pocket PC for those that do not know.
I can only speak on its use.

Its great, locks onto the sats quickly. No problems what so ever.
Updated maps are about $160.

Well the only prob is I would like to reprogram it with my voice and my terminology....

example currently
'Perform a legal u-turn"

my new version
"Ya missed the turn di*ckhead, throw a u'ey"
