Is it series 1 or 2? Fair difference there.
Kays will also factor heavily.....
I would see an ELII XR8 5 Speed with about 80k on the clock being worth about 17-18k in immaculate condition. An ELI would be about 3-4 cheaper in the same kays, condition.
Having said this, there is always exceptions to the rules...

First is an AU XR8 Manual for $13,500
Second is a 1996 XR8 ( dont know when the EL started) for $11,290
If I can find these two in two minutes, if I was serious about buying one for 12k I am sure I could find it.

Well ok then i may have been wrong i thought it was a rip. AFAIK its a 98 model and done about 80 thou, and from what i know he paid about 19 grand so its only about 1 or 2 grand too much not the 7 or 8 i was thinking.

I have one here, with 81k on it, 5 speed, like new and would pay that much for one.
They are reasonably rare if built after sept 97 as a 5 speed too...not alot about.
Get some pics of it.

I nearly sold mine for $18500 and its a series 2. Mind you cars are a bit more expensive over here in WA because there isnt as many as over there. Mines done 110,000ks.

You will generally find EL XR6/XR8 hold there value better for some reason.

I would want $12K for my XR6.
