Hey guys, i have a 3:27 LSD, and its catching single spinner alot, when i bought it 2nd hand, the owner said it needed to be tightened, which it did, but i was to lazy to do anythign about it LOL, now i was wondering, where could i go to get it tightened and roughly how much would this cost?
thanks! - Grechie

Any diff place will do it.
I talked with one a while back and they quoted $60 to inspect a LSD center and reassemble to any tightness i wanted. Dont know if thats a good price or not tho.

The $60 did not include removing and refitting the center though (it lives on my desk)

if the spider gears or the crown wheel have teeth missing or are a bit mashed up the tightening will help but i think you'll always have a noise.

I'm assuming that buying a centre out of a good condition LSD would be the way to go, and swap the lot.
Pilch and myself rebuilt his diff, and I'm no mechanical guru (heh, I'm a w4nker actually) and we got it right first go. I put it back together, and he fitted it. |
