are you telling me the only way to change a blown brake light is to remove the entire lense assembly on anything EF and above?!?!
Got a call from a mate just this morning asking me how to do it, so i went and had a look at my brothers EL and then my AU, and i cant find any other way than unscrewing the whole lense! Thats got to be the stupidest design ever! My old EA was just a flick of the wrist and the globe was out! anyways, thats my rant for the day.  : |

Its not really any harder, it's only 2 screws that hold the tailights in and it saves you taking off the inner trims and breaking all those plastic clips.

I'd rather take out two screws than deal with boot trims any day...

Thoes are all valid points. I guess i was just used to my EA wagon, which was just lift up a grille and twist out the globe socket, but then a wagon is completely different. i just got cut cos i made a dick of myself looking like i knew what i was doing!

Changing the brake light globes on EF/EL is easy as! I think it's one of the BEST designs ever.
