Question Need some help with my T3

My wife came home from work this afternoon in the blue T3 and i strolled past the car approx 30mins later to find it had dumped a heap of coolant from the bottom right corner of the radiator.

Any ideas what the problem is?

Hey Matt.. I would say that your radiator is shot... Might be time for a new one...

The radiators in V8 AU's were notorious for springing leaks.

I had the Ford thermostat mod done on my AU2 Pursuit ute, which was meant to stop the pressure building up in the radiator, but mine still sprung a leak.

Mine went about 3 or 4 months ago. $300 for a new one through Ford. Simple replacement, even I could do it!!!

Same here mate. But I have seen this before, it looks like a common issue & a pretty easy fix.

if you can get parts through a mechanic or wrecker go for it. i just got a new radiator for my BA and i got it brand new through a wrecker for $180 that was their cost price on it.

When you say an easy fix do you mean a replacement radiator or it can be repaired?

My T3 is on its 3rd radiator!
Its pretty common. Aluminium core and plastic tanks not easily repaired or worth repairing.
When I have to replace one out of my own pocket I'm thinking a full aluminium jobby.
Still uder warrenty till 11/08!

A bit dear, but if it last 10 time long it worth it.

I ended up picking a new radiator up for 220 bucks. We had a drama disconecting the bottom trans cooler line, it is either crossthreaded or has just been overtightened to the point where the pipe it self has been twisted. So have had to replace the bottom cooler line as well, lucky it was only 28 dollars.
