just recently purchased an au xr6 hp auto with 160k on the clock. I have read wat they are suppose to run 1/4 mile and 0-100's, 15.33 and 7.88.
I put a g.tec in mine the other nite (cool weather) and i was running times of 6.8's consistantly to 100 (didnt have the space for 400m). I was wondering if the tests by wheels motor or the ford claims are underrated or my car has something done to it. It looks bog stock, no exhust nothing, had full history and no modification was in there. Thinking the g.tec might be wrong i tried with my stop watch on the fone and returned similar times has anyone on here run their stock au xr6 auto before and can tell me wat the result was, or anyone no wats the go with mine, thanks |

Here's a start, it only gives quarter mile times but it'll give you an indication.

1. you might have better tyres than the stockos that came with the car.
2. the cars wouldve been still new and not properly run in when they made their runs, motor wouldve still been tight 3. motor/wheels gets crap times very often. case in point is the typhoon which struggled for a low 14 by them and is easily pulling 13s in owners hands. |
