Default driving me insane

hello, ive got a problem with my eb xr6 thats being driving me insane and everyone ive asked doesnt no what the problem is, basically when im slowing down if im turning the steering wheel u can feel like a clunking/shudder through the steering wheel, also when slowing down just before the car stops you can feel a big thump from the centre to the back (underneath) of the car.

ive asked heaps of people about these problems but no one seems to no whats causing it, im hoping someone here would no

also would anyone no what the procedure is to reset the idle

If the car is an auto, the auto it will be the cause of the clunk just before you come to a stop - it will be the auto shifting back into first.
