I came across this at lunch time today
The young driver walked away with no scratches and theres mixed reports from the workshop round the corner that he was getting a roadworthy to buy or sell the car for his brother. |

looks like someone has let it rip coming around the corner and lost it.
looking at the marks on the road it looks like he might be up for some dangerous driving charges. |

Never nice to see pic's like that..Especially when its a Blue Oval injured.
You could have been travelling in the opposite direction.... That's scary. I am sure the driver will think twice before giving it the boot on a corner in the burb's. He may have got out unscathed, I am sure the owner gave him a few bruises. ing_sm

He would have been looking at the tree when he was sideways and where you look is where you go. Sounds simple but 90% of the time that’s why cars hit poles/trees, and thats why they seem to hit drivers doors all the time. They drill that into your head on advanced driving courses, and it works. Look for a gap and chances are you'll get there.

hmm....more then 25mtrs of skid marks in a residential area... tells me two things....1 he was an idiot and 2 he was going to fast.imagine if there were kids on the front lawn...
and on top of that he took a corner so fast that he was on the WRONG side of the road....

I'm glad no one was hurt. But dang crashes like that add to everyone's insurance bill.
Hmmmmm. I wonder if the wheels are going cheap? _2: GK

Certainly a write-off. I always feel sorry for the car because of the idiotic driver.
Gives me an idea....build a Cobra replica from all the bits off it. |

It happened up the road from Nambour radiator works (donaldson road i think). He was nailing it past a mates business which is around the corner and must have got sideways booting it out of the corner. I know the skids say one thing but the gutter has been chewed a fair few meters before the tree so im not sure how it actually happened. The guy looked so young and i felt alot of sympathy for him, but if he wants to fang down a road thats so narrow (the street before the corner) he pretty much shouldnt be behind the wheel. He should be happy he walked away unscratched.

what in idiot. how did he manage to do that. he must have been going quick because i recon he could have pulled it up with that much distance and the skid marks come from the other side of the road. no accident, stupidity.

what i think is funny, is that, that's the only tree in the picture, only big tree any way, and he nailed it, must be a good aim.
