Default thermostat housing hoses

hey guys,

on the actual thermostat housing, theres a metal pipe with a 90degree bend (which connects up to 2 hoses). and by pipe bit is stuck hard to the housing. i cant get it out.

anyone has any ANY tips, they would be much appreciated. its driving my crazy

if possible pour some boiling water (from a kettle?) on the hose to loosen it a bit, then pull. With your hand away from the splash zone.

EDIT bah! I read the title, then read the first post, and confused hose with pipe!

tried the flat head screwdriver. didnt work? im getting desperate here

Is it the pipe that goes to the manifold if it is make sure tha bolts are undone
