Default Top Gear!

top gear are running a competition, they will be coming to australia to review a car! It can be your car thats if you apply, theres also a trip to england on offer to who ever gets choosen...

Ive also emailed them, asking them to test drive the bf gt andn typhoon as well as a genuine gt phase III and phase VI, there open to all ideas, so hopefully we could see Jeremy Clarkson drivin a phase III thatll be a site!
If heaps of ppl email them asking for the same thing and givin them a brief history lesson they might take notice!

this is the competion link
http://topgear.sbs.com.au/Competitions.aspx?menu=1&id=4

The owners clubs should get on there backs. Even if it was a small piece, that's a good bit of advertisings that money can't buy.

Hammond drifting an EA, sounds like a good plug for the eseries.

its there!

Do you have a car worthy of being reviewed on Top Gear? Would you like to see Top Gear come down under? If so, enter one of the exciting competitions below and be in the running for up to $25,000 worth of prizes.

Video Challenge
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Jeremy Clarkson, charge up your video cameras and tell us why you think your wheels deserve to be in the spotlight.

The best review will win a return business class trip to London, 5 nights accommodation, a trip to the BBC studios to see where Top Gear is made, an LG portable DVD player and a Navman N40i GPS system. The worst (or most interesting) video will win an LG 106cm Widescreen Plasma TV as well as an LG portable DVD player.

I've never really been a fan of Top Gear. Jeremy is no specialist and neither is the program. "Top Gear, they know their cars!" BS! All they do is play funny little games, drive around a track trying to beat a fighter jet, crush a Hilux (with non factory roll bar) race each other on the beach, up country, against time, while this maybe fun to watch.....it offers little to no real input how the cars drive, just a typical pommy whinge and moan about "in his opinion", what he dislikes and what's crap.

Give the keys to a real driver - Tiff Needle (5th Gear). His racing background and expertise behind the wheel give viewers a real insight into what the car is like to drive, how it handles and bang for buck, that's a real car show. Jeremy dislikes and is arrogant to pretty much anything that's not made in Britain.

Rant off :

Just thought I would add something.

Its about entertainment aswell. Any show that has anything to do with cars, and the GF usually goes out of the room. But we both watch Top Gear, and she asks questions about cars and stuff and its great.

Jeremy is very funny and hugely entertaining which makes the show have mass appeal beyond just revheads. I was just going to say what a sterile and amazingly boring type of human you must be, but then saw your sig with your cars which at least shows you have some taste in that quarter. For your registry if you track Aus cars, my previous E49 (The car that Biante used to create the 1:18 scale models of the E49 Charger) VH7S29CF13-1078 recently changed hands here in WA, gone to a real estate agent that also has Phase II, Phase III, Monaros etc. etc. By the way how do you got a 440ci-6-speed-727, are they putting an extra three cogs in 727 Torqueflites these days or something, LOL.

SOme links to a couple of things I wrote many years ago.

EXACTLY ! My wife loves cars, but isnt fussed on car tv shows, i have been downloading new Top Gear everyweek from UK since season 4, and my wife has only started to watch it with me since the start of season 8, because they got more entertaining and funny, and loves season 9.

Thanks but I am anything but boring mate...lol....if only you knew. ;) Not sure you did yourself any favors there, it's the other way around mate : If you find that very entertaining and out of this world then you must be the bore....not causing arguments just letting you know.

It is a good show but lots of guys seem to think if "Jeremy says it's bad/good", it is, when infact he comes off as knowing very little about the cars. You or I or anyone else could take nice cars around a track and give our opinion. 5th gear is also a very entertaining show but it also gives proper car reviews....if I want entertainment I'll watch a DVD or The Simpson's.....if I want to hear a professional review on the lastest cars (and old) I'll watch 5th Gear. I don't want to hear that he thinks it has interior like his wardrobe.

Thanks but the registry is for NZ Mopars only. That's why I built it as I wanted to see what we had in NZ, where they're hiding etc.....

Not to go off topic but the 6-Speed-727 is a TF-727 with GV's new system (not their old) but the new Auto-shift sequencer. Splits the existing gears and has auto OD out function. 3 + 3 = 6 short ratios, lots of fun.

Cheers,
Carl

Yes but it doesn't actually say anywhere there that "Your car will be put on Top Gear". It says, is it worthy of being reviewed on Top Gear? Thats like saying, "Is your car good enough to be in Wheels?"

I'd have thought they would advertise all over it "Your car will be on top gear" not winning other stuff...
