Hi
I just purchased a woodgrain steering wheel that was on ebay advertised as being an AU III Original momo wheel... Now it has the momo stamp on the right hand side but it dosn't look like its pressed in very well. I went to pick the wheel up from the wreckers who were selling it and he assured me it was genuine. I rang ford spare parts and they said there should be a ford logo on the metal mounting part of the wheel as well as a number. Another ford spares place didn't mention a logo but said there should be a number. The wheel has nothing printed on the back! I looked at my dads old au I fairmont wheel and the back also dosnt have anything printed. His wheel came straight off the car So can someone please help me confirm this... i feel i may have been ripped hard :( Thanks Waz |

I can't see the pictures, but the wheels are made in Mexico, so the quality is not always that great, but it would not be an easy or cheap exercise to make a fake one, so I would say it's genuine.

Yes its a genuine AU Momo wheel.
I have the same one in my EL and bought it direct from Ford. P.S. You're lucky I didn't see it, or you wouldn't have won the auction. |

No, it's fake. But I'm a nice guy so I'll offer you half of what you paid for it :o Just kidding ;)
Everytime I've bid on one of those wheels I've ended up losing the auction. It's not like I'm being cheap either. Once I bid up to $500 and I still lost! I guess it's just not meant to be...

I've had a couple of genuine Momo wheels over the years, and the quality has not been great - the lettering is not always perfect etc, so I'd say it is real.

Have been a few of all colours on E-bay recently. Picked up a red one for $235 delivered for myself and also got a mate a blue one with the ees buttons for $160 delivered.
Can't beat that!!

Thats right if your looking for one ebay has had a few of late.
There was a brand new grey momo one that was really cheap... was deciding between the two but for the fairlane it could only be woodgrain! |
