Default Ebay was once good for cars

As Above ebay was not a bad place to pick up the odd bargain.

But check this out
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=260101914402

Ebay now seems the place where people sell things for prices which are drug enhanced

Sorry if someone knows the seller or person who listed it for him.

But Jeez, you seem some real heaps on Ebay, which are GS or GT related etc etc. Like genuine GT or GTS , need major rebuild, some real rust buckets get on there.

Maybe I am just getting old and things are getting more expensive.

I have a XD Fairmont Ghia 5.8 Auto with 120K odd Kms. I had to fight with the shannons to get it insured for 5k.

I dont think anyone will bid on this, nice clean car though.
The ebay madness has gone to far, some greedy sellers
are getting their mates/family to bid to inflate prices.

I have also seen this happen with housing auctions.

I am just waiting for him to try to sell me the car for $15k. But I am under no obligation to buy it as the reserve at the time was not met. I have to bid again for it to count. He THINKS he has a bid but he doesn't.

His latest post says this car WILL sell, yeah it probably will, but for how much? not 15k thats for sure.
I wonder if he's a betting man.
It's like some nutter that had a Cobra on ebay about 12 months ago and was asking $1,000,000 for it. I think they just want to see their cars on ebay.
Why not just take a photo and use it as a screen saver if they're that desperate.

Yer. I cant believe the prices that cars go on ebay for. It seems it is now the dumping ground for dodgie cars and premuim prices.
How many cars are listed on there reboded(spellin), Was stolen and was given new ID from police etc etc.

OK post is open again, Please dont post ebay links here, it was just a general bar talk about ebay and other sites that seem to have high prices for vehicles.

Sorry if I upset anyone and I understand this is not the place to post ebay and others links

I know Keith Brady Real estate (A large Ray White agent) in brisbane does this or at least used to.
One of my ex's friends worked there as an agent and used to ask us to come to housing auctions as fake bidders. i only did it once until i realised just how unethical it was. I was a lot younger and stupid back then...proof of that is I was married to my ex.

I won an XT once for $7800. I backed out because of some money problems, then a week later it sold for $6000. I hate ebay.

What really tears me up,is people that bid,and then withdraw because they realise transport isnt possible, all that stuff should be checked prior to bidding,or worse yet people who win the auction and then dont go through with sale.
It is a major headache as a seller.

Don't you get banned from e-bay for doing that sort of thing!!!
If I was the seller I wouldn't have been too happy being messed around after you had bid and won the auction

With you there mate! Had it a number of times on ebay and here. Very frustrating, especially when you follow up only to be told, yes, yes I'm genuine....and then the sale falls through anwyay. People should just be honest from the start if they realise they shouldn't have said they'd buy something.

First of all id bought an xt before from ebay, paid $1100 to get it shipped down to nsw and the ******* thing was full of rust when he said it was clean, the ****ed off bit works both ways.

As for me not being able to pay, i moved out of my girlfriends place unexpectantly and had to fork out for bond, furniture and everything else, so its wasnt exactly planned as i wanted the car more than anything.

Ebay's great entertainment when on stand by at work. There's an AU2XR8 on there at the moment. Buy it now price of about 35500. Claims to be one of 50 ever built. Classic!

Cheers,

Ian
