I have to say I'm quietly impressed with this GTR. I'm also glad that Nissan have dropped the Skyline name with this model, as it it doesn't fit in with the yawn inducing styling of previous Skylines.

I think it looks a little too much like the 350Z. I agree there.

I also don't like Skylines. People love them...why?

As I have stated, I love Fords (and I don't mind Holdens too) because of the legend behind the cars.

Plus you see too many riced up skylines that just look like a big, wet, sloppy piles of poo-poo that has been squashed after somebody sat on it, driven by pimple-faced 19 year olds who stuff their underpants with their mother's bra to make themselves appear to have big cojones, when in reality they shouldn't need a car, or a bra in the nappy to feel good about themselves.

I hate materialism. Skylines are the height of it in a car nowadays.

By 2008 or whenever its released, and I had won lotto and was after a dream car, I would look at the new pontiac firebird or the new camaro first. But thats just me, i like more muscle and less anime.

I'd say the RB family of engines do not comply with emmissions standards of today ... hence they are not using them anymore.

I doubt I'd call the V6 ****y .... especially when there's 2 turbos bolted to it from factory.

Saw some spy shots of an upcoming Toyota Supra too ... it's been a long time coming for the Supra ... I think the last model released was in 98. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Engine was previewed in a Renault concept at the Paris Motor Show, but unofficially. 3.5 twin turbo V6, 309kw, 530nm and a seven speed paddle shift gearbox.

yer i would put money on it being a v6 the engine bay looks to slope down too much and be too short to fit the i6

that is a very respectable power output but is it just because nissan are being honest about it considering they have now dropped the 206kw restriction? its well known the gtr's put out a fair bit more than that. i would say it is fairly impossible to run a 12 second pass with just 206kw in a 1400-1500kg car which the 32 gtr did do.

that concept does definately have GTR influence in it but seems to have a bit of z to it too. look at the side profile of the rear/boot definately gtr in it.

as for pimply 19 year olds driving this car i think not will probably be over 100k like every other gtr to be had here when new. and im yet to see a pimply 19 year old drive a 33 or 34 gtr. usually middle age older people

Exactly. I have not seen many of this type driving an GT-R. If they could afford a GT-R they are usually an R32. Insurance would be massively expensive for a GT-R. They are usually in GTS-T, mind you if modified good can be very fast.

This will sound stupid but it reminds me of the Koenigsegg CCX. Totally different cars I know but the front section in profile view reminds me of it.

looks to much like a z for my liking.
the car will be a v6TT and will have a new/updated version of attesa(4wd)
rb was dropped due to production costs since from memory the z-tune had to meet euro 4 emissions

but then again i must be a pimply faced rice driver

The GTR will definitely be an awesome car if the 350Z is anything to go by.

The GT-R is as much a legend then any ford or holden, it's heritage dates back to the 60's in road and racing.
