Default Will Fitting Turbo Spark Plugs Help The Regular Barra 182 Performance ?

Has anyone tried it ?

The regular Motorcraft plug for the Barra 182 engine is a platinum and has a 1.4mm gap.

The Turbo and LPG engines use a different heat range plug with a gap of 1.1mm.

I know this has been discussed before but if anyone has tried it, what were the results like ?

Better or worse ?

I can't see any gain in performance at all.

Sorry Frank

They are generally colder and closer gap due to combustion pressure of turbo engine... Imo no gain... Unless there was issues with old plugs....

I had colder plugs (NGK double platinum turbo plugs) fitted to mine for a while when i thought the ign system wa a touch weak for the twin throttle setup and definately went backwards.
Running stock spec brand new ngk's now much better.
