Default alignment?

My AU3 has developed some noise in the front end, which sounds like loud excess tyre noise. Its sound is speed dependant, and also occurs with the car in N, so I don't believe it to be a transmission prob. When I'm driving straight the noise is there, much louder if i turn to the left, and disappears as soon as the steering wheel is turned slightly to the right. It sounds like its coming from the front right tyre.

Wheel alignment time or perhaps something else??

could very possibly be a front wheel bearing, there have been a couple of threads about similar problems recently

I would suggest it's a bearing. My front right is playing up on the SR and possibly the front left and rear left on the wagon. Darn cars, all they do is chew up the cash!

The SR Sedan has done 90,000, the Futura Wagon 155,000 kays.

Lots of chat here recently about them, probably as they are all getting on in years and kays a bit.

Cheers,

GK
