Hi, Just bought a 2002 Focus for the mrs, as we do a heap of freeway driving, how easy is it to get a cruise control put into it? Will FORD do it or is there after market ones that are better.
Thanx If this is in the wrong section, sorry. Please move it.. |

Ford one is probably the best for integration... but it wont come cheap.
Can get aftermarket for around $300-$400 installed. If you do get a quote, let us know... i am interested in getting it for mine. Cheers Martin |

Definitely recommend the Ford option, depending on the model. Cruise control can't be fitted to LR ST170 or Zetec with the Stability Control Option, due to an incompatability with the traction conotrol sensors. Any other model can have the option fitted, I recommend buying it from a Ford Dealer and getting them to install it.

I was quoted $660 installed, My car due for a service soon, I'm going to talk the total price down. Ask around, two different parts stores from the same ford dealer, quoted a difference of $80 on the same day
Its expensive because they have to replace the whole steering wheel, you will get a new leather one.
