Default melted alarm speaker

well my car has aftermarket alarm installed(90 years old by my estimate) and the alarm speaker was mounted on my wheel arch on exhaust side, and after getting extractors the speaker is now a very odd shape lol!

just wondering if i could pick up a new speaker and attach it to wires from the old one? i will also need to re-wire it as its going through my clutch cable hole which is going to be filled with a clutch cable soon....

u should be able to hook a new speaker up but u will have to re-wire it because the clutch cable will take up the whole hole

put it in front of the radiator, tucked under the support. when you wire it, run it where the cruise control servo is. there is a big hole through the firewall. (in the hiding spot to the left of the brake booster.)

put it in the top left corner (when lookin at front of car)
i put mine along with my cruise control actuator in the top corner behind wheel arch against firewall but tucked away from sight. it was a little bugger to fit. but once in it wont get hot/wet or dirty.

ill try n get a photo to show u what i mean

brad

has your alarm got the little key in it to turn it off, if it does and you cut the wires remember to turn it off cause it will go off when you cut the wires, worst alarms are genuine ford ones cause you cant turn them off and when you have to remove them and all you can do is wait until the backup battery dies
