G'day all. in brief, i'm moving in with the missus in Southbank, Melbourne.
i'm guessing everyone here is upto speed regarding the "dodgy" happenings at a prominant ford service department in South Melbourne. if not see link below: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...ight=jefferson my question is: seeing as it's within walking distance from my new abode, do you guys/girls think it's worth giving them a chance with my new Turbo? or should i head elsewhere? also if anybody can recommend a good service department in the CBD area. that would be great |

After seeing that i think you should be able to find a better dealer. If you have just spent heaps on a new turbo the last thing you want is people using crappy parts on it

If the atricle is true and Jeffersons are conning people let em burn.
If you ask for genuine you should get genuine. If it's good value or not is up to you, but you should get what you pay for. But don't be too quick to tar all with one brush. My experiences with ford dealers has been relatively good. I've used New Oaks for years and they a have been nothing but friendly, organised and reasonably cheap ($140.00 for a basic service). My cars have always run well and they do little that little bit extra. Warranty repairs you haven't even complained about or Try a new set of brakes 30 mins while U wait. A well tuned stock 220kw TS50 that outruns 290kw BAGT's. Owing to a shift in work base I have used Courtney & patterson and whist being a bit dearer I cant fault what they do. For the record I have no interest in this company and I don't even know the name of the service guys. It's easy to criticise but use care not to injure innocent bystanders.
