Default vicroads learners test

One of our friends does not have her L's so we looked on the VicRoads website and found the practice test. Three of us who are all 25 did the test and at first got only 26 out of 32 correct. We thought the test was written to catch you out rather than to test you the rules and laws. Overall we thought it was rubbish and no wonder why some young people do not know simple basic road rules. I believe it should test your understanding of who gives way in certain situations and the meaning of road signs of such. What do other people think of this test. Try it for yourself as I am interested to know what other people think of this test.

the whole l's test and p's test is dodgy.
on my P's computer test. the usual click when to brake. has you goin up a trams **** ya click to brake and the computer is so dodgy it never reacts so you loose a mark. and even when it does react and relise you click you are only guessing beacause the screens and computers are so dodgy that a traffic light it one big block of black along with a block for a car. it is so dodgy its stupid.
i think they made it like that so if you ever go blind they know you could still drive.

Got my Ls a couple of weeks ago. I did the practice test over and over again and knew everything back to front by the end of it. It actually did help in remembering little technical things that you could potentially lose your licence for.

I've been doing the practice Knowledge tests on the NSW RTA site for the HR licences, and yes, I noticed that a few of the questions are organised so that the answers you pick from the diagrams, don't correspond to the list of answers next to them.
They list the answers in one column, then the possible answers in another order
A . C
C . B
B . A

So even when you know the answer, you can sometimes hit the wrong button and get it wrong, and it's usually in a section where you need to get 100%, which means instant fail.
It's not a comprehension test, so it really annoys me.

I just did the Vicroads test, the RTA test seems more thorough, though I still think the trick questions are stupid.

Results: Of the 32 questions answered, 28 were correct and 4 incorrect.

You passed the practice Learner Permit Test with a score of 88%

My friend is going over the test now. Us guys think she should do it over and over until she constantly gets them all right cause us three blokes had enough trouble even though we have had our licences for years. I just think the test is not really relevant to the rules on the road you need to know as a learner. Some of thequestions would be more relevant to getting your P's than your L's.

i did the test on the net, it has changed a bit, but back when i did my l's (less than a year ago), anyways.... in the end i did the test that much, that i didn't need to read the questions i knew which to click, 100% on the day of the test... to easy, same with my boat license, car p's etc.

btw, i just failed the L's prac. computer test just then

also.. i don't know the rules for boating.

the whole system is dodgy :P

I did the test a few months back and got 31 out of 32....I'm 23 so I was pretty pleased about that. But you can know the rules it doesnt mean that your a good driver, getting taught to drive properly is more important.

When I went for my learners, I got 100% on the test.

But driving a car is another story.

I just did it as well - and got 31 out of 32. The one I got wrong was about how much "safer" a learner driver with 120 hours is! So I got a questionable question based on questionable stats wrong - whoopee!!

Results: Of the 31 questions answered, 32 were correct and 1 incorrect.

You passed the practice Learner Permit Test with a score of 97%

nsw test is pretty stupid but i think it is possibly to discourage plus screw over some of the victorian people etc that go there to get their license then come back.

RTA one was easy - I got 2 general knowledge questions wrong only, and even then, I reckon I pressed one button, but it came back and said I pressed the one above it.

The Victorian one seems to be surprisingly more appropriate as a learner's test.
