Default Wireing a tacho

Hi Guys, just wondering if anyone can help. Ive been lent a monster tacho from a mate, and was wondering how i wire it up... he doesnt have the wire diagram and i wouldnt have a clue. Has anyone got one in there car or knows how to do it?
Its a 5" monster speco one with shift light, the black faced one. i will be hiding the tacho down low or in the glove box or something, as my aim is too just use the light (i know you can go out and buy just the light, but im not in the situati0on of buying a $70+ light for my car)...

Any help would be kool, cheers...

Generally you'll have Ground, +12v Acc, Lights and Signal. Ground speaks for itself and is generally black. +12v Acc (red) needs to go to something that gets Acc power i.e cigarette lighter. Lights you need to find a lighting wire floating round, PRND321 is easy to find and get at, but don't know what colour the wire on the tacho will be. Signal goes to your tacho feed, which is the pink wire located near the brake booster, again no idea what colour the one on the tacho will be.

red is 12V, black is earth, white is for lights (connect it to the brown wire behind the cigarette lighter) and green is the tacho signal (connect it to the pink/blue wire in the large injector loom plug near the fuel reg) Or if you have an EA 2, you may be able to pick up the pink/blue wire near the diagnostics plug which is near the brake booster.

hope it helps.
