If it does hail properly, doonas and blankets will give some protection. Anything to absorb the energy of the hail. For big hail, drive it through your lounge room wall!

Obviously for future reference get a cheap car cover from super cheap or the likes and if you have access to it a big roll of bubble wrap to put under the car cover
