Question Smart lock problem

I've just bought my first Falcon, an AU wagon, after 20 years of Holdens. All is going well except for the Smart lock. I've read through the threads but can't find a similar problem.
The rear right actuator was stuffed so I replaced that today. All doors now lock/unlock properly using the key in the lock. The remote is communicating but will not lock or unlock the doors. I get multiple beeps from the horn which I believe means the system thinks a door is open - which it's not. The interior light powers down after 30 seconds which also indicates the doors are closed.
What do I check next?

Have you tried reprogramming the remote?

I figured it wouldn't be necessary as it seemed to be communicating. I gave it a go anyway and all seemed to happen correctly, except when the locks 'cycled' you could hear the actuators operating, but the door lock button didn't move.
