Default Anyone know if e-series 14's will fit on an AU (car doesn't need to be driven)

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows whether e-series 14" wheels will clear the brakes on an AU?

I know the offset is all wrong, but the car will not be moved, it's only so I can take the existing wheels off.

Thanks,

Justin.

If it's only to prop it on, you should be right. The standard brakes are only 11.5" (287mm), so 14" rims sitting a further 35mm out than a stock AU wheel should be OK - even driveable maybe.

the wheels will just sit further out and may hit the gaurds if driven. i have actually driven an AU with eseries snowflake wheels and it is a pig to drive as the whole front end dynamics are wrong but they will fit i actually told the guy that they are illegal and dangerous but he said BS and this is a cab, first and last time I drove for him wallows all over the road and scrapes on driveways

THanks mate, as long as they bolt on there, not too much of an issue if they scrape the brakes, car won't be going anywhere!

That's pimped! Just needs to be slammed. So you gave them away for your current rims?

yep sure did

too much hassle with hitting the guards..(if they were flared would have been NO problems)
and they started making strange noises and were all out of balance..

and gutter munched one of them 1/2 way around.. via a maccas drive thru
and another one i got 1/8th the way around on a stupid new driveway they made at the local shopping complex.. its a 90 degree turn at the top of a ramp.. and the gutter isnt very visible..
HEAPS of cars had smashed it... as the fence type thing stops 1m before the end of the gutter does.. so it throws you
