I've just bought a 2000 AU XR6 sedan with an almighty push in the rear end.
I needed some front parts for an AU3 Ive got and thanks to wreckers' prices it made lots more sense to buy the wreck, plus I get the XR nose for free. I was wondering what I could expect to get for the XR6 engine complete with inlets, headers, alternator, etc., including the BEM and anything else electronic that might differentiate the XR6 motor from a standard donk. Its done about 140k to 150k kilometers, and I dont want to give it away, but I'd like it to sell inside a couple of weeks. Any ideas???? ....... Thanks Keith |

$1000-$1200 assuming its a full conversion (i.e. all the bits you need to put it into another car).
OT, what bits do you have left over of the car?

Its a bit hard to say yet as I only bought it at auction this morning and it wont arrive till thurs/fri.
I think the front seats, console, door trims, all dash parts, steering wheel & column, etc, right rear door, and possibly? auto gearbox and brakes, if im lucky, diff centre. front is complete, but im using all frt panels plus drivers door, steering rack and pump, drivers stub axle. Keith |

AU engines go at the wreckers for around $500. An XR engine might attract $700. The auto box (if it works) should be worth around the same, so B2tf was in the ballpark, I'd say.

if the car has 4 door power windows I might interested in some of the bits PM me if you are interested as for the engine just as am idea I paid 650 fo an HP engine with 56 000Ks expect about 150 more for the VCT if it has one that was a complete engine with all wirine just needed the ECU which I picke up on ebay for $52 but that was cheap I'll admit you don't need to change the transmission to get adaptive shift as this is in the ecu the box is the same
hope this helps |
