You go to the place of auction, register, get your bid number and go crazy.

If you are bidding in an auction in person you have to go and register there, it wont matter if you are registered on the website or not.
If you want to bid online, but the vehicle isn't in the simulcast auction then you will have to bid in person.

some auction places will take pre auction bids, you write down how much you want to pay on an official form prior to the auction and the auctioneer sort of bids for you until he hits your limit. He announces it to the auction that he is bidding on behalf of someone else
you need to check the rules of the auction you are referring to |

keep in mind if its a repo auction...quite often you will only get 1 key, meaning someone (usually disgruntled person who had thier car repoed) has a spare key to your new car.
