Apologies penrith_panther, the cluster in my avatar is from an EF XR6 (my mums 2nd car), not an ED. The ED's did not have digitial odometers. I'd like an EF cluster in my car also, if only because it has 20kmh more on the speedo so you can judge (very high) corner entry speeds a bit more consistently.

No way!! EF-EL's would s**t over a EA. But in saying that, ED's would flog a EA. My ED s**ts all over nearly everymodel falcon, specially the BA's, and its only a factory 5spd lol.

I dragged 10 Pontiac GTO's (LHD Monaro V8's) once in my EF, clearly my EF is faster than them.
Does it count they were on the back of a Toll truck heading to Port Adelaide?

I guess the best way is to pick a odemeter range (say 80,000K-130,000K) or what ever, and give them the same rear tyres, remove un-nessisary junk, tuned all the same, and let em rip on a drag strip. Make the cars as identical as possible.
On the street you never know if they where going full out, or just saving a bit of petrol for the trip home... Atleast at the drags you know they wont waste their $45 entry fee on driving slow lol

it really depends on the condition of the car..if its been taken good care of, an ea can pull mid 15's, but if it has been treated the same as most cab-like drivers do, itll probably run like a piece of crap..

I'd say between an EL and and EA that the EA would win, because the EA are lighter, right?
