Default Timing Cover

Hi folks,

My last service revealed a small water leak at timing cover (AUIII XR8). Ford want $1900 to fix! ($1200 for new cover rest labour) I believe there are cheaper after-market covers around but is this a home garage job or something best left to the pros?

Cheers,

Simon

you can very successfully have it removed and welded - probably be better than genuine afterwards (thickness/strength etc) - a truck load cheaper
