Both cars are tops, especially the look of the XB.
Never has a sexier car left Ford's Factory Floor.

But the FG is nice too...I'd gladly have one

Same on both camps, I know quite a few pro-ford people that wear the out of FPV jackets lol.

To them all Holdens are , works both ways. I would drive either a ford or holden, both make excellent cars.

Exactly the reason why I don't own any more Fords, I love em and I honestly believe there is better intent behind the designs at Ford than at Holden.

But I basically can't stand being 'labelled' as anything when I am on the road. I still want to buy and drive the best thing I can for my money but I just have to search elsewhere to scratch my itch.

Besides its much more fun to poke fun at Holden when you drive something else because they generally don't have as much ammunition to fire back. Most cars from other countries have more advantages than disadvantages over the Aussie models these days, and the fans know it, its just that one-eyed supporters (on either camps) are too damn proud to admit it, even to themselves.

You buy cars so you can poke fun at Holden? How does Holden know you are doing this?

Most non-car enthusists will gravitate towards being pro-Holden as it's percieved as the local icon. Their cars are also percieved as being the better looking out of all the local brands. It can be a bitter pill to swallow at times, but that is what we as blue blooded supporters are dealing with.

This attitude is born out of complete ignorance IMO, but never the less you can either ignore it, join it, or do something about it. Being an active member on this Ford community website is one way of acting on your beliefs. Investing in, and driving a proud example of a Ford motor vehicle is another. Chosing to share your time with other like minded individuals is yet another again.

It's your choice. Best of luck

Thanks mate. This is the first time in my life I've had none car-enthusiast friends. I have opted to change what perspective of my life certain friends see or here about. The mentality in itself is what p-sses me more than anything else, I've never for the life of me understood the die-hards, either side of the fence. It just strikes me as alittle : that people would insult someones passion because there's is a different brand of the same?

I often wonder if horse owners do the same, having different breeds and slagging off someone else.
