I like to drizzle a little graphite powder down the bailey channels between the glass and the rubber (with the window down) then just run the windows up and down a couple of times to spread the powder in the tracks. Most of the binding up is down below the window height inside the door so getting silicone spray in there is tricky plus I find the silicone spray can get tacky after a while when it picks up crud and also it's a pain to remove from the glass. Wind the window down, puff some powder into the track where it meets the glass and wiggle the glass back and forth a bit to promote the powder working it's way down the track. Wind up and down a few times to spread it and bob's your uncle. Works a treat for me.

I just wind the window down and pull the glass forward a tad and puff graphite down the gap then jiggle the window a little and start winding up and down to spread the graphite. No need to touch the trims. Works for me.

You can buy graphite powder from any hardware or auto store. Just ask at the counter. It's only pocket change cost wise.

i wonder if the cause of some of these problems is an alignment problem with the glass , i`ve noticed with mine that binds from time to time, it goes down at 100 mph, but on the up stroke you can see the glass go slightly sideways (to the rear of the car) it seems to dig in to the rear most track , i let it down a tad and hold the glass in the correct pozy and up up and away it goes no probs, hmmm maybe an adjustment?

I also recommend graphite powder. Silicon spray is a wet lubricant and attracts dirt and dust, graphite powder is dry and therefor does not.
