yeah the timing is right my mechanic set when i was last there and the temp rises to about the L in normal then drops back to m then goes then slowly goes back to L and when going up a hill the car is quite sluggish and wont pick up speed unless i bring it down to first and the brakes are always quite warm even tho im not using them that much but yeah when the cars hot like between M and L the brake pedal i quite firm and and when its cold after turning it on when its been sitting over night the pedal feels quite normal ! this is driving me insane its just one problem after another !

THATS EXACTLY WHAT MY CAR IS DOING!!!
Things ive found are "faulty Master Cylinder" is causing my brakes to stick on the rear Ive tried swapping TPS's over and setting them correctly does SFA.

with the over heating prob put a new thermostat in i had the same symptoms as you and found with a new thermo it fixed the what looked like it was overheating
also remember there is only about 10 deg variance in the normal range from where it enters normal to the red zone

Check for loose electrical connections at dizzy, coil and alternator...
Check the fuel pressure... could also be a vacuum leak at gasket surfaces of throttle body.
