Default Ive been lowered

Got the rear of my AU wag lowered today. Just over 3"s lowered, front is stock with 18's so its slightly, think inch & half ski boated. Looks gooid though. I pillaged some nolathane bushes from my XY wag, so had the rear shackle kit and spring perchs put in. The front bush's are the oval shaped ones. My nolathane bushes were about six months old when i took it off the road. Thhe guy who lowered it said theres plenty left between the bump stops. No height issues with the driveway. Bushes have made it ride better. Old ones that came out looked like new. Awaiting my new plates for the XY which i am going to use on the AU until its done. PRO 557. Did a Brisbane round trip from Toowoomba and to Ipswich and back and Springfield. First trip with new exhaust, made quite a difference. It hasnt been serviced or tuned yet. Noticed under load on couple of hills and the Toowoomba range that it wont upchange now. It use to upchange. The new exhaust has made a big difference when tackling these hills, it just sits in drive without changing, evem excelerating up these hills to 110 and no need for upchange. Quite happy, thankyou MR pacemaker.

Post up some pics soon.

$330 for resetting. If a extra leaf was added another $50. Bloke that did mine has had a springworks for over 15 years, he did my XY as well about 5 years ago. Got both cars sitting exactly where i wanted them. Post up some pics once i wash it, had a dust strorm here yesterday. I would get someone very experienced in resetting or buy maybe some new springs, most new leaf springs only go down 50-60mm. Some guys use BA ute springs as well. I could have used my XY ones but they are heavy and have 5 leaves and were custom made for me. You can do enough work to a leaf spring to not warrant having to use caltracs (drag racing only, just some info)

Good luck at pedders toowoomba gunter. Take a hacksaw too. Saves time in handing over the arm and or leg for payment.
