i think you`ll find it a little firmer, pot holes a bit more noticeable some tires are probably a little better than others in the ride department too, mine was already a bit on the firm side before the 18`s, do your self a favour have an alignment when fitting the 18`s, my last 16" inch set wore nicely, since fitting wider 18`s (only 1 inch wider) and putting new tyres on the inside edge has worn badly on the front ln a short space of time(bugger) :(.

superroo, Looks so good!
What have you lowered it on? I'm in two minds, Standard tickford 17" or the BA F6 18"? The tickford will be cheaper for insurance too. AHHH decisions decisions!!!

Superroo, Can you please put up a picture of your wheels with the tickford caps in? A Hi-Res one if possible! I've already seen the one in the build thread but the cap looks like it doesn't sit flush? Not sure.
,Cheers Jason

As for your insurance, it shouldn't make a difference whether it's got 17s or 18s - in fact you only need to tell them it's got Ford alloy rims; usually they don't even care about the size.

Yeah, ill see what they say really, Dont wanna have hassles if i have a spill and they whinge about have bigger wheels on it. Thats the main thing.
As for the centercaps, I thought that was an awesome idea to fit the tickford ones. Providing they dont fall out im considering it Night All

The center caps won't fall out they are a very snug fit, only problem is that they will only fit in the replica rims.
They won't fit in genuine rims. The cap is slightly too big from memory to fit. I know because I've got a set of genuine rear offset rim's sitting at home, to go on soon. Photos of the problem are kicking around somewhere. This thread may also help. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11236064 Quote:
