The previous XR5 Turbo Mondeo had something 162 Kw/320 nm and weighed around 1650 Kg.
EB I-4 Falcon is taking its spot so maybe similar weight and performance but better economy?

Exactly, which is what I said earlier. I don't see what is confusing about that?

i'd prefer them to do it sooner rather than later. it'll be pointless if Holden beat them to the punch with a diesel commodore

It's getting more likely that Holden will release their dedicated LILPG before Ford......

I went and had a look at the curb weight on the AWD models and its 200kg heavier then the Volvo website. I was trying to make sure that were comparing things correctly.

Thats the same torque as my 2L TDCI Focus does, except mine comes in earlier and dissapears earlier.

This looks promising, I wonder how they got a torque figure like that out of a petrol engine.

The 2.0 EB is said to be able to put out around 205kw / 370Nm @ 2500-5000 rpm. Actually I wouldn't doubt it could do even better. It's a pity, it will only have 170kw/ 320Nm in the Falcon, but it will still be a great motor, I'm sure.

RE: putting the V6 diesel into the Falcon - is this a narrow angle V6 with a rather tall manifold and injector rail set? Remember the issues Ford had shoehorning the D35 into the Falcon with bonnet clearance?

No it's a smallish 60 degree V6 engine, sounds like it's was much easier fit than the Duratec V6

There's a few journos saying Holdens single fuel LPG will just be a vapour system like they already have, and Holden haven't confirmed anything yet, so we'll wait and see.

They haven't confirmed any power or torque figures yet so why do you say it will only be 175/320. It could be higher.

Well I do hope it will be higher, but that's what all the early predictions have been.
