Trying to come up with a plan on renewing the suspension on my ute. (AU2 XR6)
Not keen to go polyurethane or aftermarket rubber, so have gotten some quotes from the local dealer on genuine stuff: Front: Lower Control Arm bushes - $504.25 for all of them (both sides) Top Control Arm bushes - $79.95 for all Rear: Rear Leaf bushes - $76.15 for all 8 Front Lead bushes - $88.04 for both sides This doesn't seem to bad to me, especially since I could most likely get better prices with a bit of hunting around. Would like to hear from people who have gone down a similar path... Thanks, Mark |

and those prices are plus fitting too?
or are you doing it all yourself? can you buy a complete lower control arm with all bushes fitted, brand new from Ford? might be cheaper than buying all the components, then paying for the pressing in/on etc, and then paying someone to fit them to the car too. and most likely a wheel alignment after thats all done... a guy i met a couple of months ago took his AU ute to ford and had all of the suspension bushes and 2 struts, 2 shocks supplied and fitted at Ford. it cost him $2600 all up.

Will do whiteline 27mm sway bar at the same time on the front so will do the bushes for that in nolathane and also sway bar links. guess i should do the caster/camber mounts at the same time too... forgot to get a price on them from ford...starts to add up lol! |
