Hey people. Does anyone know if I can swap the alternator from my V8 to my I6? Even if only to test whether it is my alternator or not?

Hmmm... Bugger. Thanks for that!
I'm in the process of getting my dead car home to try and fix it. Battery so flat the car stopped. Gotta work out how to diagnose alternator, regulator, battery etc. Shouldn't there have been some sort of charging fault indicator on the dash? Does that trend to suggest it might be the batt rather than charging system? Batt is pretty new but. Merry Christmas :( At least we'd only got about 30 kms from home when we headed on holidays. |

according to the manual, they are the same inside, but different casing
not sure if or how hard it would be to swap over |
