I just thought that I'd tell everyone about my good experience with getting some warranty work done on my XR6T. I needed a rose joint replaced, two hoses on the auto replaced, the thermostat housing gasket replaced, diff bush replaced and also the windscreen demister vent is warped and needs to be replaced. Apparently you can't just buy the vent by itself, the whole dash pad comes as one. It is booked back in to get the dash replaced now and there was no questions about them doing the work for me. I have to say a HUGE thanks to Knox Ford and to Troy but especially Steph in the service department for all of their help and hassle free attitude

I've also had very positive dealings with both the parts and new car sales depatments at Knox Ford.

Thanks for the post; always good to read positive stories as I too always have positive experiences at Ford dealers!!
Funny, how this topic is now 5 hours only & only 5 posts long.. Had it been negative feedback it would have been 5 pages long by now!! |

Good to hear a positive about knox Ford for once.
There are good dealers out there, I also think they are getting better.

I can also add to this in say that Winford Ford is also excellent to deal with for parts and service ... especially for warranty issues ... and also sorting out a stuffed window reg for me on the spot when it decided to fail in pouring rain.
Nothing but praise for them ... I don't live in the area ... but if i was back in a new car under warranty I'd be going straight back there for all work.

Good to hear; I'm sure there are a lot more good experiences out there.
Sinclair Ford were great when it came to the timing chain tensioners of my BA GT-P. Car was out of warranty but as it was sold and serviced by them and also a known fault they got the OK from Ford to do it at no cost to me. My initial approach was that I would pay for the labour if they supplied the parts but Chris in Service said they would talk to Ford about it. Congrats GTP 044! |

Good stuff, Ford warranty is not always bad, we only ever really hear the bad news, not the good.
My old BA turbo had the rust cut out of the boot area a week before the 5 year corrosoin protection warranty was to expire. Ford were more than happy to help, no arguments. The work was pretty good quality.

We used to get Chris to look after my wifes old Fiesta, he was fantastic! The power steering pump went on the Fiesta, instead of paying through the roof for Genuine Ford parts, Chris sourced a reconditioned pump at 1/4 the price.
