Default Heated seats not working

Just got titanium mondeo back from its 15k service and the heated seats no longer work. Checked the fuses and they are ok. Any ideas what the ford service monkeys may have done to make the seats stop working?

Take it back to who did the service and ask them why they dont work.
That would be the smartest thing to do I would imagine.

As QDDA5 has said, take it back. Probably a simple solution.
Must say, I have been enjoying mine lately. This is the first car I have had them on. Loving them!

Yep, take it back pronto !!! DElays raise doubts about 'why' and 'when' they stopped working.

And when it is -6deg outside, a nice toasted butt is pretty nice (MB XR5).
I also discovered I have a big multi-wire connector under the rear seats (for something) but plain unheated rears. Anyone else noticed this? Any suggestions as to what this plug might be for? (one each side)

That could be the existing wiring loom for rear heated seats for EU / UK markets. Would be great to get the heated mats and fit them in and have the rears work too!!!

It is interesting to see that it appears Ford must use one standard loom and just not connect added extras. Most other companies use specific looms for different trim levels. This might even help to retro-fit other things from higher spec models...

Standard looms across models is old-skool. Whilst there is a small initial overhead production cost, the savings in stock control are immense.

Escort Mk2 GL had the wiring in the dash for the tacho-based instruments - a mate swapped in a tacho set. Production in millions?
The Triumph Stag is wired for both Auto and Manual+o/d box, and air-con...all except for a few minor extension pieces. (making the auto>manual conversion real easy ...he he he) Total production 25-odd thousand.

One dealer tried to tell me that the Oz Mondoes where special with custom software and other stuff only in our version.

Didn't like it when I showed him links from the Euro forum about how they were all made basically the same, and how to activate something for me in the IDS.

What did you have activated via IDS? Is there a thread / link to additional programs functions that can be enabled vis IDS; such as auto locking on take off?

P.S. are the heated seats working yet?!

Got the auto locking activated. Don't think it's possible to do so any more.

Seats are working again.

The Ford monkeys hadn't properly reconnected some plug after replacing the trim around the gear stick.
