I leave mine on standard, when i was using the econ, i reckon the above statements on the auto are correct. I think line pressure is also affected to the auto, maybe not, but these autos are pressure sensitive.

Ok so that's how you program the mode for manual transmition and does it work on auto? forgive me for sounding confused there are just so many comments and all the links go nowhere for me so many different reply's on the page

On a BA falcon there are three shift modes. Normal, Performance, and Manual. when you put the car on "D" it will drive normal Adaptive Shift. When you push the stick to the left it will go into Performance mode. Its still fully automatic and will shift at a higher rpm and downshifts quicker, then once you push the stick up or down (+/-), it will go into manual.
