John Taverna was an awesome bloke. I use to go to his place in Leo street Fawkner quite alot. My brother went to school with his son Jason.

I don't know why but I was just thinking about the hardtop he built for an American customer years ago. He then took it across and drove it to him from the west coast to new York. I was wondering what had happened to that car.

Yeah those were the Performance Street Car days, the pink Camaro was street legal with his tubs and big block. His race cars were nice and many a featured car had his influence. A sad day indeed, he was one person i looked up to, never got to meet but was big in my early adulthood with the cars he had and worked on. R.I.P JT
