Default Standard vs Performance Camshafts

Hi everyone,

Has anyone had short or long-term mechanical problems after they have added a performance cam? For example has someone had headers, intake and then added a cam only to have problems? Performance camshafts cause increased wear 'n' tear on the motor and transmission. Would you change the oil and filter more than twice a year? Are there any components that need regular inspection or service after adding a different cam?

Cheers.

As long as you have appropriate valve springs there are not any mechanical issues.

If your running a biger cam with a bad tune there are all sorts of issues that come up.
